從白老鼠們最常聽到的投訴是,我煮的中西菜式,不論咸點甜品,總是帶甜。

認識我都知道,我愛吃甜,也愛酸,可接受微至中辣,但絕不能吃苦。
煮什麼也落一點糖已成習慣,人家做甜品,說鹽可另甜味更特出,那為何煮咸不需糖來增味?

算了,我努力中,常提醒自己不要加糖就是了。

這個菜名正言順可加入香甜的蜜糖,甜甜酸酸又香口,最合我口味,配白飯一流!

recipe: grumpy's honeybunch
 

ingredients:
12 oz   chicken breast, cut into bite sized pieces
1 tbsp light soy sauce
1 tbsp cooking wine
1/2 tbsp sesame oil
1 tsp sugar
2 tbsp all purpose flour
1 tbsp cornstarch
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper

sauce:
1 tbsp sweet chili sauce
2 tbsp tomato ketchup
1-2 tbsp honey
1 tbsp oyster sauce
2 tbsp light soy sauce
1/4 cup water
1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds

instructions:
1. add light soy sauce, cooking and sugar into chicken and mix well. add sesame oil last and let it marinate for at least one hour.  
2. mix flour, cornstarch, salt and pepper and place in  on a plate. dip the chicken into flour mixture and make sure to coat the chicken evenly. shake off excess flour mixture.  
3. deep fry chicken pieces in 350F oil until golden brown. drain on paper towels.
4. add sweet chilli sauce, ketchup, honey, oyster sauce, light soy sauce and water in the wok, simmer the sauce till thicken. add the chicken pieces and toss well. sprinkle toasted sesame seeds on top and serve.
